Established in 1935 Declared as National Park in 1955 Declared as Tiger Reserve (including Andhari WLS) in 1995 Part of Project Tiger Total Area : 1701 sq.kms Distances (Transport): By Air: Nagpur airport is 205 km. away via Chandrapur; 140 km. via Chimur. By Rail: The nearest railhead is Chandrapur, 35 km. from the park. Wildlife: Tadoba is famous for its Tiger population but the forest is full of other wildlife too! A short visit to the park will leave you wanting for more and some more… Mammals: Tiger, Leopard, Wild Dogs, Sloth Bear, Chital, Sambar, Muntjac, Nilgai, Gaur, Wild Boar, Hanuman Langur and much more. Birds: Over 200 species of birds have been documented from Tadoba. Eagles, Owls, Kingfishers and Storks are some of the attractions. Reptiles: Crocodiles, Monitor Lizards, Calotes, Chameleon and Snakes are found commonly. Butterflies: Over 75 species of Butterflies are found at Tadoba. Flora: Ghost Tree, Mahua, Ain, Bamboo, Teak and Bahava are attractions along with a lot more plant life. Camp Objectives: Reading and communicating with the forest. Exploration and observations of flora and fauna. Introducing participants to the joys of Indian Wildlife and helping them in becoming a Jungle Detective.

Event Details


Day 1 - Arrival
  • Early morning flight to Nagpur from Mumbai/Pune. Arrival and transfer to wildlife resort. Lunch & Orientation followed by Community Interaction.
Day 2 - Two safaris
  • Two safaris (Morning & Evening) for wildlife viewing - Wild Boars, Deers, Sloth bears, Leopards and Tigers!
  • Post-safari discussions, team building games and star gazing.

Things To Carry

  • One haversack and one small shoulder bag (NO TROLLEY BAG OR SUITCASE)
  • Comfortable clothes for the no. of days (track Pants, t-shirts, tops etc) (Avoid Jeans)
  • Suitable nightwear, shorts, 3/4 s, one shawl/ chaddar, sweatshirt, undergarments, towel, napkin/ handkerchief, ladies sanitary sets
  • Sport shoes, socks, floaters, Suncap/ hat, water bottle
  • Personal kit containing toilet accessories, sunscreen, cold cream, odomos, NO DEODORANT
  • Torch with fresh batteries
  • Sunglasses, camera, binoculars, (optional at your own risk)
  • A bird book, field guide (if available)
  • Personal medicine, if any, with a note explaining doses, time, quantity etc. with the name of the child, No need to send any extra medicine
  • Pen, a small diary, a storybook
  • Around 1500/- for meals during travel and for shopping
  • Please don’t send Mobile phone, music player etc. with the child.
  • An ID card with a colour copy, (school I card/ Adhaar card/ Driving License etc) (penalty of Rs 1500 if no ID card brought)
