Vasota is a fort located near Bamnoli in Satara. The height from sea level is 3,842 feet. Vasota trek offers a thrilling experience as you would be walking through a dense jungle and you would get some amazing views of the surroundings. The Koyna river basin is home to many wildlife animals like a panther, wild dogs, hyena, bears etc. Also, the Vasota fort trek passes through the reserve forest which makes it more adventurous.

Event Details


Day 1 - Leave towards Vasota
  • Meeting Point: Office at 11:00 p.m.hrs.
  • Depart from Pune 11:30 p.m. hrs. by a Private bus
Day 2 - Explore Vasota Fort
  • Reach the base village, Bamnoli.
  • Early morning wakeup call at 6.00 am
  • Fresh up, breakfast and get ready for trek by 7.00 am.
  • After forest permissions departure by boats and reach Met Indavali around 9.00 am.
  • Reach to the base of the fort by 10:30 am.
  • Trek up to the top by noon.
  • Lunch & Explore the fort.
  • Start descending around 2.30pm.
  • Reach to the base of the fort & then back to Bamnoli by boat at 05:00 pm.
  • Start return journey towards Pune by 05:30 pm.
  • Reach Pune by 10:30 pm.

Things To Carry

  • Identity Proof (Compulsory)
  • A Rucksack to carry your luggage (NO Sling Bags, Side bags, Suitcases, trolley bags, Shabnam Bags etc.) all luggage packed in plastic bag.
  • 3 liters of Water (compulsory)
  • Preferably full sleeves clothes.
  • Trekking shoes with good grip (Strictly No – sandals, chappals, floaters)
  • One extra pair of clothes & socks.
  • Any personal medicine (As per your doctor’s Suggestion)
  • Camera, Binocular (Optional)
  • Torch with Extra pair of Batteries.



  • Pune to Pune Travel by Private Vehicle.
  • Bamnoli-Met Indavli-Bamnoli transport by boat.
  • Tea & Breakfast, Packed Lunch, Evening Tea on Day 2..
  • Forest Fees.
  • First Aid Kit Facility.
  • Expertise, safety equipment’s

  • Private orders of Tea, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner on Saturday & Sunday night, etc.

Pay heed to the trek leader or instructor in order to enjoy a safe and sound trekking experience.
