MAHIMATGAD MARLESHWAR JUNGLE TREK - Trek'Di

Mahimatgad Fort and Marleshwar , Devrukh region, Ratnagiri District, Maharashtra
2 Days1 Night

Event Overview

Mahimatgad is one of the best Jungle Treks available in Sahyadri. It is situated in the remoteness of Konkan. We need to travel considerable distance but at the end of the trek when you are standing on the fort, you see spotless green cover around you.

Traveling 40Km south of Chiplun to Sangameshwar and adding another 20 km towards west to Devrukh and further 25 Km we reach to Kundi village which is the base Village of Mahimatgad. We stay in a school. This fort is south west border of Chandoli Wildlife Sacntuary which is now part of Sahyadri Tiger Reserve and hence it is automatically a wonderfull destination for Nature lovers. This place is also known for medicinal plant research and Great Pied Hornbill conservation project.

Apart from having a nice jungle it is one of the offbeat treks where rare anybody visits and hence you get real experience of wilderness. For those who are interested in Bird or butterfly or general photography this is perfect Trek. TREK'DI with its unique experience in offbeat destination trekking, conducts a unique trek to this place.
