Harishchandragad is a hill fort in the Ahmednagar district of India. Its history is linked with that of Malhej Ghat, kothale village and it has played a major role in guarding and controlling the surrounding region.

Event Details


Day 1 - Departure from Pune
  • 06:00 a.m. – Departure from Sahyavede’s Office
  • Further Pickups – Deccan, Bremen Chowk Aundh, Jagtap Dairy, Nashik Phata
  • Breakfast On the Way.
  • 12:00 Noon – Reach Paachnai Village.
  • Lunch Time
  • 02:00 p.m. – Start the Trek towards Kokankada.
  • 04:00 p.m. – Reach Kokankada & rest for some time.
  • 05:00 p.m. – Setup the Campsite.
  • 06:00 p.m. – Enjoy the Sunset.
  • 07:00 p.m. – Campfire Starts.
  • 08:30 p.m. - Dinner
  • Campfire continues...
  • 10:00 p.m. - Retire for the Day
  • 'Nightbees' can continue the campfire.
Day 2 - Trek towards Pachnai Village & Explore the Area
  • 06:00 - Wake up Call.
  • Morning ablutions into Nature.
  • 07:30 - Breakfast
  • 08:30 - Trek down to Pachnai Village.
  • 01:30 p.m. – Lunch at Pachnai
  • 03:00 p.m. – Start return journey to Pune
  • 10:00 p.m. – Reach to Pune.

Things To Carry

  • Haversack – This is the most important thing you need.
  • Choose a sack which can sustain the weight throughout the trek.
  • In rainy season, (Make sure that you do not carry any Jholas, one-side bags etc.)
  • We prefer to use a big plastic bag inside the haversack. This helps us to keep the things dry.
  • At least 2 liters of water bottle.
  • It is really necessary to consume the carried water wisely.
  • (you may add Glucon D or energy powder to it)
  • Extra clothes as per the season.
  • Full sleeve clothes are preferred for treks.
  • (Towel, Rain coat, Sun cap, Thermal wears as reauired) *make sure you carry a plastic bag to keep used wet clothes.
  • Trekking shoes - Action Trekking’ is Most preferred pair of shoes for Sahyadri region. If not available, one can wear shoes with good grip.
  • Bedding material – Sleeping bag / Carry mat / Blanket etc.
  • Make sure that the bedding material is not bulky or heavy.
  • Torch with extra batterie
  • Avoid using your mobiles as torch as the mobile might be needed in an emergency. Hence, it is important to save on the mobile battery.
  • Plate, Mug, Spoon etc.
  • We prefer to carry our own plates etc to the forts. (Optional)
  • Personal medical kit
  • A set of medicines for any personal allergies, insect repellents or the medicines as per your doctor’s suggestion etc.
  • You can also carry basic antiseptic medicines, tablets, band-aids, crape, relisprey etc (Optional)"

Terms & Conditions

No littering on the trek, whatsoever participants are requested to carry the waste back to the city and dispose it off in dustbins
Carrying or consumption of alcohol or smoking is strictly not allowed. Anyone found in possession of the same or consuming it will be expelled from the trek. No refund will be provided.
Safety first is our moto & we do not compromise on the same. Participants must follow the instruction given by the trek leader/volunteers for your own safety & the group’s safety.
Participants should not deface or damage any monument by writing or scribbling on them. Please help us to conserve and preserve our heritage along with our trek leads.
We strongly recommend not wearing/carrying any valuable jewelry. Participants will be responsible for their own safety and baggage.
Adventure activity is arranged considering normal weather.
There can be changes in the event plans, itinerary according to the real-time situations.
In case of cancellation of any event due to reasons beyond control (like natural calamities, riots, political uncertainty, public transport failure etc.), refund shall be payable with respect to the given to refund policy.
In case of any injury, sickness, accident, death or any other casualty or loss or damage of valuables or luggage or any equipment; it’s instructors, organizers, volunteers or any other person involved wholly or partially, either individually or jointly, shall not be responsible in any manner for the same and no claims of the participants, parents, guardians, relatives or friends of participants will be entertained.
