Kodagu also was known as Coorg, is an administrative district in Karnataka, India. It occupies an area of 4,102 square kilometers (1,584sq mi) in the Western Ghats of southwestern Karnataka. In 2001 its population was 548,561, 13.74% of which resided in the district's urban centers, making it the least populous of the 30 districts in Karnataka. The district is bordered by Dakshina Kannada district to the northwest, Hassan district to the north, Mysore district to the east, Kannur district of Kerala to the southwest, and the Wayanad district of Kerala to the south. Agriculture is the most important factor that upholds the economy of Kodagu and the main crops cultivated in this region are rice and coffee. Coorg is rich in natural resources which included timber and spices. Madikeri (English: Mercara) is the headquarters of Kodagu.

Day 1 - Meet at Bangalore
  • Meet at Bangalore and stay in a hotel near the Airport.
  • Get our rented Bikes at the Hotel. (People can get their own bikes as well.)
  • Dinner and Day off.
Day 2 - Ride towards Coorg
  • Early Morning starts from Bangalore to avoid traffics.
  • Ride towards Coorg.
  • Enroute visit Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary at Kaveri river and Iruppu Waterfalls
  • Reach Madikeri, Coorg; and stay in a farmhouse surrounded by coffee estates.
  • Total ride 350 km's approx

  • It is very important that you line the inside of your bags with a big polythene sheet. Doing so will ensure, that in the event of rain, even though your bag may get wet, your clothes will still remain dry!
