About the Tour :
Keoladeo National Park or Keoladeo Ghana National Park also known as Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary located in Bharatpur , Rajasthan is a world renowned bird sanctuary. It was declared as an Bird Sanctuary in 1956 whereas s National Park in 1982. The name Keoladeo is derived from the ancient Hindu temple of Lord Shiva and Ghana refers to the dense forest. The overall area of the park is about 29 sq.km. Over 230 species of birds are known to make Bharatpur their home!The major attractions are the migratory birds which come from as far as Siberia and Central Asia. Various species of cranes, pelicans, Geese, Ducks, Eagles , Hawks , Shanks , Wagtails , Flycatchers , Pipits , Larks and the list goes on. Mammals like wild boar , Nilgai , Spotted deer , Mongoose etc are also seen.
Chambal Sactuary also called as National Chambal Gharial Wildlife Sanctuary is 5400 sq.km of protected area specially for Critically endangered Gharial, Ganges river dolphin and the red crowned roof turtles. The pristine Chambal river offers an super habitat for various flora and fauna.
