|Itinerary||Duration : 8 Nights / 9 Days Minimum no of People : 8 for above costing 30th June: Day 01: ARRIVE SRINAGAR – KARGIL VIA SONMARG Our service starts with your arrival at Srinagar Airport/ Railway, you will be met our representative at the Airport and directly proceed for kargil Drive passes Sonmarg & Drass Valley, cross famous Zodijila pass, enroute have a magnificent view of Tiger and Tololing from Vijay war memorial. .Overnight stay at Kargil. 1st July: DAY 02: KARGIL - LEH: After breakfast leave for Leh, enroute visit Lamayuru , Likir Monastery, Magnetic Hill, Pathar Sahib Gurudwar and Hall of Fame museum. Reach Leh by evening and overnight at Leh. Note ; Only on the way sightseeing will covered at Srinagar to Leh highway , as Srinagar vehicle are not permitted for other sightseeing because it is border area. 2nd July: DAY 03: LEH – EXCURSION TO MONASTERIES (50 KMS ONE WAY) Post Breakfast we proceed for Indus Valley Monastery tour including SHEY PALACE, The ancient capital of Ladakh, THIKSEY an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village, HEMIS GOMPA, the largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism, SINDHU GHAT. Dinner & Overnight at Leh. 3rd July: Day 04: LEH –TO PANGONG LAKE – 14,000 FT. After an early breakfast we leave for Pangong Lake through Changla pass 5486 Mtrs. The long easy ascent takes you to Changla pass through its winding roads passing through Sakti Village. Stop at the Changla Pass for a quick photograph session and drive down to the village of Tangtse, where you can relax for a cup of tea. Leaving Tangtse for Pangong you pass through few small villages of Changthang and finally you can have a sudden view of the Pangonglake situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m). This famous blue brackish Lake of Pangong is 5/6 Kms wide and over 133 Kms long with half of it’s running the other side of the “INDO CHINA BORDER”. One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable. Dinner & Overnight at Pangong. 4th July: Day 05: PANGONG LAKE Day – Leh After an early breakfast we leave for Leave for Leh .Evening free for Shopping and personal activities . Dinner & Overnight at Leh. 5th July: Day 06: LEH–NUBRA VALLEY VIA KHARDUNG LA 18,390 FT: (only Hotel accommodation ) After breakfast we drive to Nubra Valley. The road journey from Leh to Nubra Valley passes over KHARDUNG LA (THE HIGHEST MOTORABLE ROAD IN THE WORLD) AT 5,602 M / 18,390 FT, around 39 km from Leh. From the pass, one can see all the way south over the Indus valley to seemingly endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar range, and north to the giants of the Saser massif. Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldumra or the valley of flowers. It is situated in the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. The average altitude of the valley is 10,000 Ft. above sea level. Upon arrival in Nubra we check in at our Camp / Hotel in Hunder for Overnight stay. In the evening you can walk around the tiny villages to see how the locals live in this part of the world. A visit to a Ladakhi home can be arranged. Dinner and overnight at Nubra. 6th July: Day 07: NUBRA VALLEY– LEH (120 KMS): After an early breakfast we check out from the Camp, drive to Panomic Village including sumur. After that drive to HUNDER where you have opportunity to ride on a bacterian camel (double humped) amidst the sand dunes of this high altitude desert with snowcapped mountains on the horizon & Hunder Monastry. Between Hunder and Diskit you come across sand dunes besides the road. Seen in isolation you could well be amongst the sand dunes of the Thar Desert in Rajasthan. It is indeed a strange sight since immediately on the left of the road is Rocky Mountains that characterize the Ladakhi landscape and in the distance can be seen snow-capped mountains. On the return stop at DISKIT which is the headquarter town of Nubra Valley. Stroll around the bazaar observing the shops and local people going about their daily chores. Diskit is famous for 515 years old Buddhist Monastery, lying magnificently situated on a hilltop, facing the entire Valley. Later we drive back to Leh in the late afternoon via Khardungla Top. On arrival at Leh you will check in to your Hotel and overnight at Leh. 7th July: DAY 08: LEH – Sarchu / Jispa : Early morning leave for Sarchu . Reach by evening . Arrive and check into the camp and overnight at stay Sarchu / Jispa. 8th July: Day 09: Sarchu/Jispa - Manali Drop. After Breakfast, check out & drive to Manali . District Leh is situated roughly between 32 to 36 degree north Latitude and 75 to 80 degree East longitude and altitude ranging from 2300 mtrs to 5000 mtrs above sea level. District Leh with and area of 45100 Sq. Kms. makes it one of the largest District in the country.The District is bounded by Pakistan occupied Kashmir in the west and China in the North and eastern part and Lahul Spiti of Himachal Pardesh in the south east. It is at a distance of 434 Kms from State capital ( Summer) Srinagar and 474 Kms from Manali (HP).
Topographically, the whole of the district is mountainous with three parallel ranges of the Himalayas, the Zanskar, the Ladakh and the Karakoram. Between these ranges, the Shayok, Indus and Zanskar rivers flow and most of the population lives in valleys of these rivers.
